Awareness of, and demand for, high-quality pet food, nutrition and balanced diets is growing, alongside rising pet ownership, increased pet insurance uptake, and veterinary costs.
Industrial cleaning machines operating in a wet food environment can be more demanding and face greater challenges than those used in a dry environment. Other factors come into play when cleaning containers, crates, moulds and so on, particularly where raw meat, meat juices and various materials used to store or produce food are involved. IWM machines are built to be robust, ensuring that every trace of wet food residue and the various ingredients are removed. They disinfect washed items using high-quality, bespoke technology tailored to specific customer needs.
A different type of washing is used in dry food manufacturing, sometimes under high pressure, as residues can often become "baked on" and difficult to remove. Where further heat processing takes place, intensive disinfection may not always be necessary.
